Forest Monitoring Portal (India)
Jomiso developed an advanced
GIS-enabled Forest Monitoring Portal and mobile application for
the Telangana and Bihar Forest Departments as part of
USAID’s Forest-PLUS 2.0 Program. The platform enables real-time tracking of
land use changes, forestry interventions, and conservation efforts across vast forested
regions.
The system integrates remote sensing data, geospatial analytics,
and interactive dashboards to enhance transparency, decision-making,
and monitoring efficiency. Forest officials can use both web and mobile interfaces to log
field observations, validate interventions, and visualize project outcomes dynamically.
By combining data science, GIS, and sustainability planning,
Jomiso’s solution empowers forest departments to make evidence-based decisions that
strengthen biodiversity conservation, carbon management, and community participation.
