Ulhas & Vaitarna Diversion Feasibility (India)

Jomiso conducted a comprehensive feasibility assessment for the proposed Ulhas and Vaitarna Diversion Project, focusing on hydrology, water yield analysis, and long-term water balance simulations. The objective was to identify opportunities for surplus water transfers from the western basins to the drought-prone Godavari Basin.

The study integrated climate risk assessments with advanced hydrological modelling to evaluate the sustainability and reliability of inter-basin water transfers. These insights support regional planners in achieving equitable water distribution and ensuring resilience against climate variability.
